La Barcaiola is a riverside house that stands on the ancient home of boatmen: those who managed the passage of boats and people from one side of the river Tiber to the other. Located two minutes from the main roads and from the small Umbrian town of Pierantonio, this rustic stone house offers 200 square metres on two floors. Unlike many of the houses by the river and surrounded by vegetation, this one is very well exposed and enjoys plenty of sunlight.
On the ground floor there is a very spacious living area with dining room, a kitchen that also opens to the outside, and a bathroom. An internal staircase leads to the upper floor, where there is a generous sleeping area with three en-suite bedrooms, another bedroom and a separate bathroom.
Another entrance to the property, on the ground floor, provides access to an independent wing consisting of a living room, bedroom and bathroom.
This boat-house offers modern finishes but with a rustic flavour, including arches, manicured terracotta floors and stone-cut corners.
Although La Barcaiola is conveniently close to amenities, including a renowned golf club in the area, the house remains sheltered, offering a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
