DESCRIPTION
Nestled just a few kilometres from the ancient village of Montone, which can be admired directly from the property, we present a charming medieval estate of approximately 700 square meters. This unique property consists of an ancient farmhouse dating back to the 1600s, a guest house, an old drying house, and a swimming pool, all beautifully restored in 1995, surrounded by the lush greenery of the surrounding countryside. The entire estate comprises 20 rooms, including 8 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
The main farmhouse spans three levels, connected by an elevator, and features spacious rooms with large dimensions. The guest house has undergone a characterful renovation and can be used either to accommodate guests or as a studio. The annex is a delightful small apartment with a very private porch. The three units are arranged to create a private courtyard that opens onto the large sun terrace, where the heated swimming pool and hot tub are located.
During the renovation, characteristic local materials were preserved, such as handmade terracotta tiles, wooden beams, and exposed stone walls. In some areas of the house, precious marbles were also used, creating a contrast between the traditional appearance and a slightly exotic touch, reflecting the owners’ extensive travels around the world. To enhance the convenience of the main building, an elevator has been installed inside.
The entire property is surrounded by approximately 1.6 hectares of flat land, has dual driveway access, and includes a carport that can accommodate four vehicles. The property is also ideal as a hospitality facility, as the spaces are discreetly separated from each other. With minimal modifications, it could be transformed into a main residence with five small guest accommodations.
